A wedding should be planned from beginning to end with every
intricate detail taken care of. The details of your wedding go a long way in
representing you as a couple. This means that even your wedding place cards and your invitation cards should be
done as carefully as possible. There are a number of ways that you could pull
this off without having your cards looking like every other wedding card people
have seen.
Do it Yourself
I know that for the most part, it seems hard and almost
impossible to do all your wedding
place cards yourselves. However, there is a satisfaction that sets in when
the result of your work is perfectly the way you want it.
The Do It Yourself Process
First of all, get an idea of what theme you want to go with.
This will determine the font or style of writing and even the paper you use.
For instance, if you do a rustic theme, you will need to go with not so white
paper, rustic colors that are not too bright and maybe stencil marks that could
work for the paper chosen.
For a more classic look then you may need immaculate white paper
for instance, clear print and probably have a classic print on the paper. This
theme is however a little harder to make yourselves as it is best represented
with print.
The next step is to then make use of the colors you have chosen.
The beauty of going with such themes as the rustic theme and the vintage themes
for your wedding
place cards is that they give you so much liberty. You can even come up with
a new shade of color just for the cards. You can mix colors and come up with a
hue that works best to represent the two of you.
Then use the tools necessary to make these cards happen. These
are determined by the simplicity or complexity of your design. You can actually
use scissors and paper glue with other accessories like specified stickers and
still come up with pretty amazing cards. For the more complicated or complex
and groomed designers, laser cuts would do.
Result
At the end of the day, make sure you come up with a card design
that is perfect for the two of you.
